Overview
Since its establishment on 4th November 2008, NICE institute of the National University of Sciences and Technology is progressing rapidly to become one of the leading institutes in developing professional civil engineers. The institute has the capacity to provide academic and research facilities to 800-900 undergraduate students. NICE buildings and facilities are designed to meet the requirements of its students and the faculty. NICE labs are well equipped with the state-of-the-art equipment for its undergraduate programmes such as the Civil Engineering one.
Learning outcomes
The educational process at NICE is based on Outcome Based Education (OBE) system, which is focused at achieving specified outcomes in terms of student learning. Outcomes are the key attributes that students of this field should possess and be able to attain, and the qualities they should develop, by the time they graduate.
The educational structure and curriculum of the Programme – Bachelor of Civil Engineering at NICE is designed to achieve the outcomes, capabilities and qualities. Continual Quality Improvement (CQI) seeks to verify achievement of these goals, and take corrective actions if required, to ensure a self-improving system.
