Medical Genetics with a Placement Year - Year Abroad - Foundation Year (Hons) degree at Swansea University forms part of our ‘Medical Science in Practice’ Pathway to Medicine programme. Students who meet the entry requirements and complete the Pathway will be guaranteed for an interview for the School’s flagship Medicine (Graduate Entry) MBBCh course.

Career

The over-arching principle of the programme is to prepare scientists with the necessary core knowledge, practical and employability skills to succeed in the global, changing environment for medial and life sciences. Therefore, all students will gain the fundamental skills required of every biomolecular scientist. Employability skills are a theme in most modules.
