Overview
The foundation year of this four-year course will introduce you to the key concepts and knowledge you need to progress to the BSc in Medical Biochemistry. Following successful completion of the Foundation Year with at least a 60% overall average, students will progress onto Year 1 of the BSc.

- A-levels/Welsh Baccalaureate: CCD which must include Chemistry
- IB: 24 to include Higher Level grade 4 Chemistry
- BTEC: Typically DMM including a good Chemistry profile
- As well as one of the above qualification types all applicants are required:
- GCSE: English and Maths minimum Grade C Wales (England Pre-2017) or Grade 4 (England Post-2017)*
