The additional year better prepares you both for higher level study and a career as a modern biomedical scientist. As well as the fundamentals of good laboratory practice you will learn core academic and numeracy skills, such as drafting essays, referencing your work, statistics, data handling and interrogation.
Careers
Many of the Biomedical Science With Foundation Year (Hons) graduates at Bangor University go on to pursue careers in NHS pathology laboratories, supporting the national health service to deliver patient diagnosis.
