Focusing on criminal behaviour, its causes and consequences, forensic psychology is particularly relevant for careers in offender profiling, treatment and rehabilitation, or victim, prisoner and prison staff welfare.

The largest single employer of forensic psychologists in the UK is HM Prison Service, although forensic psychologists are also employed by specialist NHS mental health settings, social services, academia, the probation service, youth offending or police.

The many transferrable skills you gain in critical thinking, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, research and analysis are sought by other professions. These typically include areas like advertising, education, personnel, management, and marketing.
