When you study Anthropology at The Anthropology and Philosophy (joint honours) programme at the Oxford Brookes University you’ll tackle some of the biggest issues our societies face. And from day 1, your studies will take you across subjects, cultures, regions and species. You’ll examine wildlife extinction - and you’ll learn about conservation strategies. You’ll explore social justice and international development issues like:

Conservation

On our Philosophy course you’ll tackle some of the most exciting and fundamental questions about human nature and our place in the world.

We teach philosophy from a western, analytical perspective. But we also offer modules in eastern philosophy and issues around continental philosophy.

We offer modules exploring the work of:

Plato and Aristotle
the Hellenistic Philosophers

Medieval Philosophy

Acceptable passes in five subjects (exceptionally four subjects) at GCSE or GCE including:
- one 12-unit vocational A-level, or
- two A-levels or two 6-unit vocational A-levels, or

- two 3-unit vocational A-levels *(* where these are included they need to be in subjects other than those held at A-level).
A National Certificate or Diploma at a good standard.
