Overview

Since, the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication offers a versatile curriculum, ranging from Mass Communication Theory to English language and Economics, its students get easily oriented in the practical field of Journalism. Currently the Journalism program of the University of Peshawar offers courses in mass communication, community journalism, research methods, electronic & print media, advertising & public relations, and cyber journalism. It has a large number of research theises on diverse topics and issues related to Journalism in Pakistan especially KP.

A Campus Radio Station (Fm107.4) has already been established, which is producing different programs covering academic and other activities taking place in the university campus and the periphery. The department has recently established a TV lab and plans to start a TV station.

Admission Processing Fee is not refundable.

No printed Prospectus or Admission Application Form will be issued. The candidates are required to apply online as per the procedure mentioned above
Form once filled online and submitted after that no change whatsoever will be made. Moreover, preference, as given on the form, will not be changed.
Candidates on the Final Merit List must appear for submission of fee and their documents on the given dates and should produce all the original documents along with three passport-size photographs. If the candidate fails to do so, he/she will lose his / her chance of admission
The University reserves the right to withdraw any programme OR to modify the rules governing the programmes OR to make necessary amendments in the programmes OR courses of studies where deemed necessary. If the number of students admitted in a programme is less than 15, the admission in the said programme will be considered as cancelled.
