Many sessions are applied, incorporating a range of examples from animal collections, aquaria, the commercial farming industry and our own animal research facilities.
Regular visits and guest speakers provide a wealth of networking opportunities within the industry and an insight into career pathways. Previous examples include Chester Zoo, Welsh Mountain Zoo, Anglesey Sea Zoo, Knowsley Safari Park, ZSL, WWT, Genus ABS and the BIAZA Research Committee.
Access to aquaria, a herpetarium, small mammal unit, Henfaes farm and Pentre Aber dairy farm. Observe/interact with snakes, lizards, fish, crabs, insects, pigeons, bees, sheep, alpacas and cows.
This Zoology With Animal Management (Hons) programme from Bangor University includes a compulsory animal husbandry placement module, supporting students in gaining valuable experience during their degree.
