Overview

Bangor University benefits from established and growing primatology research into their behaviour, physiology, diversity, adaptations, conservation, captive welfare, and evolutionary relationship with humans. This provides opportunities to engage with ongoing research activities and interact with specialist staff. Our links with the Primate Society of Great Britain (PSGB) provide opportunities for students to engage with the premier learned society of the UK, dedicated to the study, conservation and welfare or primates. We regularly invite leading primatologist from around the world to deliver guest talks, both on our primatology modules and in School-wide research seminars. These are open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Careers

This Zoology With Primatology (Hons) degree from Bangor University not only teaches you how to care for and conserve animal life. It will give you the knowledge and skills to work in countless careers: from journalism to ecological consultancy, and management to scientific research.

Our zoologists work all over the world in wildlife management, environmental consultancy, local and national media, and teaching. A number have gone on to work in UK and international zoos and public aquaria, and several recent graduates have gained employment as animal care technicians in universities and industry.

GCSE: grade C/4 in English, Maths and Double Award Science, if not demonstrated by the Level 3 qualification/s.

Offers are tariff based, 128 - 144 tariff points from a Level 3 qualification e.g.:
