Overview

The Integrated Design Engineering (Hons) with Professional Placement  course at University of Bath  is for creative engineers who want to design and develop products, machines, and systems. You’ll explore how engineering and design can work together to create new, innovative products to improve lives and respond to the challenges the world faces now and in the future. 

To do this, you’ll combine engineering studies with learning transferable skills such as complex problem solving and critical thinking. And you’ll think about the wider factors that professional engineers must consider throughout their careers such as ethics, the environment, sustainability, and inclusivity.

• Accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) under licence from the UK regulator, the Engineering Council, to fulfil the educational requirements for a Chartered Engineer (CEng).
• Accredited by the Institution of Engineering Designers (IED) on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng).
• Accredited by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, licensed by the Engineering Council, to fulfil the educational requirements for a Chartered Engineer.
