This British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited degree gives you the broad foundations of psychology, with a clear clinical lens. You’ll explore how mental health and wellbeing are understood, assessed and supported, while building the research skills to question assumptions and use evidence responsibly.

Preparing for what you’ll need in practice, this is a great first step for those seeking a career in clinical psychology.

You will be taught by Clinical Psychologists who use both their clinically applied research and client work to bring to life our current understandings of distress.

You’ll have access to a range of support to help take the steps you need for a career in mental health, including clinical careers talks, workshops, a site with dedicated careers information and a database of local services to volunteer with.

You’ll get hands-on experience in specialist facilities, from virtual reality to brain stimulation and EEG. You will start engaging with live research early through the School’s research participation and research experience schemes.

You can study full-time or part-time and you also have the option to add a Year Abroad or a Year in Professional Practice to grow your confidence, experience and professional network.
