Nursing Care Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin

Overview

Graduates will be fully trained for the modern clinical environment and committed to remaining up to date with the latest advances in science and practice. They will ensure that patient care is delivered in a safe, effective, and patient-centered manner. As nursing generalists, they will be optimally prepared to work either independently or within a team, in roles spanning the facilities and services available within the fields of health promotion, disease prevention and rehabilitation, as well as curative and palliative care.

Career prospects

The Nursing Care from Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin prepares students for evidence-based practice roles across the field of nursing. This includes, in particular: the management of complex cases; the provision of advice and education to care recipients and their families; the conception and design of nursing services; contributions to practice development; evidence-based practice and quality management; and ensuring that fellow staff members are trained and qualified in current nursing care processes. Thanks to the Bachelor of Science degree program and the diversity of Charité's existing clinical partnerships, graduates will be in a position to compete internationally. 

Completion of this academic qualification also opens up additional career paths. In addition to qualifying students for careers in nursing management, nursing research, patients care and nurse education, the degree course also qualifies students for further studies as part of a master’s or doctoral program.
