Overview

In order to complete the Non-Destructive Testing (Top-Up) (Hons) programme at University of Northampton you will study four modules and complete a substantial project, to a total of 120 credits. The course is closely linked to the Personal Certificate of Non-Destructive Testing (PCN) through the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BiNDT).

You will study advanced NDT techniques, such as corrosion analysis, thermographic testing, vibration analysis and advanced inspection techniques. An extended project is carried out as part of the course, relating to your work in NDT and focusing on your choice of topic.

The delivery of the course, through a modular approach via distance learning, gives you the flexibility to study when you can. The course is available full-time or part-time and you can choose which modules to study at each stage.

You can take one module as a taster to decide if the full course is for you, or just to specialist in one area.
