Our Programme’s Mission
The Economics and Public Policy programme at Masaryk University is designed to provide you with multidisciplinary theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to understand economic concepts and the specifics and complexities of public policy and decision-making. We emphasize critical and analytical thinking to help you effectively navigate and influence the public sector.

General requirements
- English Language Proficiency: TOEFL, IELTS, B2 First, C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency, PTE Academic, Scio English test, Duolingo English Test, IB, or EB. Applicants with previous studies entirely in English in Australia, Canada, EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, UK, or USA are exempt from this requirement.
- Demonstrate your academic readiness through one of the following: IB (min. total score 28, min. mathematics score: 4), GED (min. 165 in each section), A Levels (at least 3 subjects with min. grades BBC, must include mathematics), SAT (min. score 1050), AP (at least one mathematics exam with min. score 3), EB (min. overall score 70%, mathematics at min. 5 periods/week), ACT (min. composite score 21), Czech/Slovak maturita(mathematics); OR one of the following Scio exams: GAP (General Academic Prerequisites), or Mathematics.
