Overview
Within this Pharmacology (Hons) course from London Metropolitan University you’ll learn about the way molecules act on receptors to produce particular effects in the body, and use this information to understand how compounds can be used to treat disease. You’ll look at examples such as the way antipsychotic drugs are used to treat schizophrenia and the types of drugs used to treat high blood pressure. In addition to the University's standard entry requirements, you should have:
- A minimum of 112 points from A levels including a C in Biology OR Chemistry, or a minimum of 112 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification eg BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma/Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Progression Diploma or Access to HE Diploma with 60 credit
- English Language and Mathematics GCSE at grade C (grade 4 from 2017) or above (or equivalent eg, Key Skills Level 3)
Entry from appropriate foundation or Access courses will also be considered.
