Overview

In your first year of the Cellular and Molecular Medicine course from University of Bristol , you will gain broad training in biomedical sciences and will begin to study the cellular and molecular basis of human diseases as well as basic biochemistry, cell biology, pathology, microbiology and virology.

In your second year, you will study molecular genetics and learn skills in recombinant DNA technology, which underpin research in many cutting-edge laboratories.

In the third year, you will choose options from various units which reflect our research strengths in the areas of cancer biology, stem cell biology and regenerative medicine, and infection and immunology.

The additional, fourth year includes an extended research project and research skills training with an emphasis on enterprise. You will plan projects, communicate with a variety of audiences and learn to translate and commercialise research.
