Overview

This Podiatry (Hons) course from University of Malta provides the adequate knowledge required to make you a professional podiatrist, ranging from subjects such as general anatomy, podiatric dermatology, regional anatomy, renal physiology and haematology, podiatric clinical skills, nail pathologies and podiatric anaesthesia.

You will be exposed to both theoretical and practical work, where you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge in a clinical setting. We encourage you to participate in an Erasmus+ programme for a more diverse learning outcome.

Career opportunities

On successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to apply for registration with the Council for the Professions Complementary to Medicine. As a graduate in podiatry, you will be able to pursue a career in both the public and private sector.

If you wish to further your studies in Podiatry, you will be able to register for any post-graduate certificate or diploma, or you can also register for a Masters degree both locally or with any other foreign university.

Applicants must satisfy the General Entry Requirements for admission, namely, the Matriculation Certificate and Secondary Education Certificate passes at Grade 5 or better or at SEC Level 3 in Maltese, English Language and Mathematics.

A pass at Advanced Level at Grade C or better in Biology and a pass at Intermediate Level in either Chemistry or Physics.
