Overview

Graduates of the Environmental Technology programme at VILNIUS TECH will be able to design technologies for water and wastewater treatment, air quality management, and physical pollution reduction. They will also learn to model and assess pollutant dispersion, manage waste streams using circular economy principles, and develop strategies to mitigate the effects of climate change on ecosystems.

What will I be able to do?

Graduates of this programme will acquire the ability to:

Analyze and assess environmental processes, pollutant migration, and select appropriate pollution detection methods
Select, apply, and design advanced air purification and climate change mitigation technologies
Assess natural resources and implement waste management technologies based on circular economy principles
Design water supply and wastewater networks, and plan water and wastewater treatment facilities
Evaluate the impact of energy, industrial, and other economic sectors on environmental components such as soil, air, water, and climate
Apply information technologies to collect, process, and model data for solving engineering and sustainable environmental planning tasks.

Graduates of the Environmental Technologies programme will be prepared for careers such as:

Working in national, regional, or municipal environmental protection institutions, shaping policies for pollution prevention and sustainable development
Conducting environmental monitoring and control in sectors such as waste management, air and water quality, and pollution prevention
Employment in regional waste management centers, recycling, incineration, and resource recovery companies
Designing, maintaining, and operating water supply and wastewater systems and facilities
Supervising environmental practices in industrial, energy, and other business sectors, including roles in administration and consultancy

General requirements

This programme accepts OMPT as a mathematics admission test. Depending on your academic background, you may be required to take an OMPT assessment as part of the admission process.
Secondary School Graduation Certificate with good results (minimum 60% CGPA)

Entrance score (KB) consists of grades in three subjects: mathematics (M), physics/another science subject/social science subject (F) and English language (A). The entrant's grades are normalized to the maximum possible grade. The normalized grades of individual subjects are multiplied by the weighting factor and added up (formula below).
Applications must be accompanied by legalized English translations of all transcripts. Unofficial copies are not accepted. Please check country specific requirements for detailed information.
