Special effects make-up artists focus on working on actors appearances for their role on screen in everything from ageing, to injury simulation, or even monster make-up, anything from what a regular make-up artist may be responsible for. This specialist role is key for many film and television productions, but can also extend to theatre, events and live entertainment.

- 104-120 UCAS tariff points
- A minimum of two completed A-levels, a BTEC Extended Diploma at MMM or BTEC Diploma at D*D, a T-Level Merit, or equivalent qualification, or a combination of qualifications which comply with the minimum entry requirement of 104 UCAS points.
- Alternative entry to this course is available through the Design Foundation Year.
- Direct entry into the second or third years may be considered for this course.
- Applicants will be required to submit a digital mini portfolio providing evidence of artistic aptitude and potential and may be required to attend an interview, this will form an important part of the selection process.
