At Forestry (Top-up) (Hons) from University of Cumbria you'll live and learn on our friendly Ambleside campus, the only university campus in a national park, which is also home to the Centre for National Parks and Protected Areas, where our tutors are involved in producing high-quality research that informs our teaching, your learning and aims to bring about positive change in the natural world.

Careers

Topping up your qualification will give you the advantage when pursuing a career in forest and woodland management, with job opportunities both nationally and overseas. We have had graduates go on to work for the Forestry Commission, the Woodland Trust, local authorities and private enterprise, with some students going into business for themselves. Alternatively, you may wish to continue your studies to masters level.

Applicants from courses based at institutions other than University of Cumbria will be assessed on their suitability depending upon the modules they have studied.

Funding

Automatic tuition fee discount applied for all EU/EEA/Swiss nationals, currently resident in Europe, who will be commencing their studies in 2022/23.

The scholarship will reduce the level of tuition fees payable from the Overseas tuition rate to the Home / UK tuition fee.

For 2022/23 the annual Home fees are £9,250. If the course is of more than one year's duration the scholarship will be applied each year for the duration of the degree program.
