You will develop skills in assessing needs, designing and implementing programmes and planned environments, and using daily life events to support and facilitate positive change. The Child and Youth Care - Accelerated programme from Humber Polytechnic provides foundational knowledge in infant, child and adolescent development; child and youth care relational practice principles; family dynamics; evidence-based or evidence-informed intervention strategies; group dynamics; cultural humility; and therapeutic activities.

- Our accelerated programme makes it possible for students with previous post-secondary education to fast-track through our programme in 16 consecutive months without compromising experience through three field placements. Studies begin in September with graduation projected for December of the following academic year.
