The Electrical Engineering Technology - Control Systems programme from Humber Polytechnic blends classroom theory with laboratory work on subjects such as electric devices, circuits, digital fundamentals, power generation and distribution, electrical computer-aided design (CAD), electrical codes, electrical machines and their control, programming PLCs and industrial communications.

Our curriculum focuses on programming software, feed-back control systems, motor control, instrumentation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), power electronics, power generation, transmission, distribution, power system design, human machine interface (HMI), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
The programme builds upon the solid technical foundation of our diploma programme, providing broader career options. The skills learned in this programme are enhanced through project-based learning in a hands-on teaching and learning environment.
According to Service Canada, the number of job opportunities for electrical and electronics technologists and technicians is expected to increase significantly over the next few years.
Our graduates are capable of designing, maintaining, servicing or selling electrical equipment in a variety of industrial sectors including manufacturing, food, pharmaceutical, automotive, power generation and distribution, technical sales, transportation, and engineering consulting firms.
