The International Business Economics BA Programme has a strong international orientation, yet incorporates a general approach in business economics. This programme is designed for those who are keen to become a specialist in economics and are open to exploit the business opportunities of cultural variegation. The primary goals of the International Business Economics Programme at Eötvös Loránd University are to familiarise students with the challenging issues of international economic processes both on macro and micro level and to get them acquainted with the European business environment in order to be able to perform successfully in a multinational business environment.

By studying international market processes, the operation of the EU and the economic political and cultural impacts of globalization you are get acquainted with the operation of international organizations and the related issues of finance, management, business law and communication.

The main strengths of the programme at Eötvös Loránd University, Institute of Business Economics are:

Audience

Graduates are able to perform in a multinational organizational environment by being skilled at international economics and being familiar with cultural differences. Choose this programme, if you intended to work at a multinational organization by possessing a fluent command of foreign languages, up-to-date skills in finance, management and business law and being confident when applying the norms and rules of international etiquette and protocol.

General Requirements

  • High school diploma; 
  • SAT Mathematics Subject Test Level II.: min. 680 points OR ACT Test : min. 22 points in the Mathematics part;
  • English requirements:  valid TOEFL Score of minimum 61 points (IBT) or 
  • TOEFL Score of minimum 500 points (PBT) or TOEFL Score of minimum 173 points (CBT) /OR/ 
  • valid IELTS of a minimum overall band of 6.0 or Cambridge English: First (FCE)
  • Notarized copy of secondary school certificate with the final results. If it is not issued in English, an official notarized translation into English or Hungarian is needed.Original or notarized copy of a valid (not older than 2 years) TOEFL iBT (min. 66 points) or TOEFL PBT (min. 500 points) or TOEFL CBT (min. 173 points) or IELTS (min. 6.0 overall band) certificate or Cambridge English: First (FCE)
  • Copy of receipt proving payment of application fee

  • A brief CV in English
