You will learn the science of human movement to assist your clients to achieve their maximum physical potential. Our team of expert practitioners will support you to develop the skills needed to become an accredited Sports and Exercise Therapist. Sports and Exercise Therapists work with clients through rehabilitation to achieve maximum performance. During your time at Coventry University , you will have the opportunity to become equipped with scientific knowledge and ‘hands-on’ practical skills.
These skills and qualifications you develop will enable you to gain experience within the Sports industry and in a non-sporting environment. In the past, our students have provided support at the World and British Transplant Games and have worked with a variety of elite sports teams including Wasps RFC, Southampton Football Club and Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey Team.
The Sports and Exercise Therapy (Hons) course at Coventry University includes a substantial amount of sport science, which can allow you to move into other careers in the leisure and sport area, such as management or service delivery in sport and leisure centres. If you are more interested in the medical and health applications of exercise science, you could go on to work within cardiac and other rehabilitation teams within the National Health Service (NHS) or with local councils within sports development or exercise for health schemes.
