Key Facts of the Foundation Year Program (NUFYP) program of the Nazarbayev University

Why does NU and many UK universities offer foundation programs? Because studying in a prominent research university is different from what students have done in their secondary schools. It helps students be successful in making the transition.

The NUFYP curriculum has three courses that develop these university skills in students: English for Academic Purposes, Mathematics, and Leadership. These courses focus on the subject knowledge Universities value, such as, sophisticated English language skills, mathematical reasoning, and critical thinking. In addition, NUFYP teachers work with students to develop their confidence, self-disciplined habits, useful study skills and personal independence.So, what is NUFYP? It is NU’s special program that will make your undergraduate studies better—academically and personally—and put you on the fast track to university success!
