You’ll learn to use latest digital technologies to deliver creative and effective solutions for a wide range of engineering problems in electronic and electrical domains.
We’ve embedded sustainability as a core part of our curriculum and you’ll spend time looking at solutions for environmental-related issues.
The Grand Challenge, a concept design project posed by industry, marks the end of your first and second years. You will present your results at an end of year show before focusing on an individual research project. This forms a substantial part of the Masters level modules for the Electronic and Electrical Engineering (Hons) qualification.
With an integrated Masters (MEng) qualification, you’ll take your studies to the next level by studying undergraduate and Masters-level material alongside an in-depth research project.

On this course, after your second year, you will have the opportunity to take a year's work placement (sandwich placement). This will give you the chance to gain vital experience and put your knowledge into practice. You're also twice as likely to secure a graduate job within six months if you take a work placement.
Our recent Engineering students have taken placements across a wide range of companies including Pirelli, Mercedes and the Government Operational Research Service. They secured varied roles such as Operational and Research Assistant, Quality Engineer and Engineering Assistant.

- 128 UCAS points from up to four qualifications (two of which must be A-level equivalent including Mathematics grade B); or
- BTEC Extended Diploma– DDM including relevant mathematics modules; and
- GCSEs – English and Maths grade C / 4
