    PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) is a language test that enables students to demonstrate their writing, listening, speaking, and reading skills when applying to study in English. Delivered and marked by computer, it reports on a scale between 10 and 90.

General Requirements

  • Route one: Teesside University standard entry criteria for undergraduate course. For international applicants IELTS requirements are defined on the international pages. 
  • Route two: Institute of Leadership & Management (Diploma in Personal Enterprise) BTEC/NVQ level 5 (or equivalent)
  • Route three: Diploma in Management CMI Level 5
  • Route four: Where professionally qualified staff are seeking entry to the course, recognition will be given through APEL (Accredited Prior/Experiential Learning*) and related experiences will be considered on a case by case basis.

Other qualifications which can be mapped on to the ILM/CMI Level 5 are also be accepted at the discretion of the course team.
