Overview

Teacher Education in Spanish is a four-year programme at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht in an international setting that joins our successful international Language Education programmes for English and German, as well as French. You will be taught in English and Spanish by experienced lecturers and get to enjoy Utrecht's vibrant student life. You will have frequent and intensive contact with the Spanish-speaking world, even spending three months there in year 2. Internships at Dutch schools are also a vital and highly educational part of the programme.

Career prospects

With your degree, you may work in Dutch secondary education, teaching the lower years, and at vocational and language schools. You can also become a freelancer and teach/tutor privately or write course books or exam materials.

You need a diploma comparable to the Dutch Mbo-4 or Havo diplomas. In general, a diploma that gives you access to higher education in your home country allows you entrance to HU. We base our admission decisions on the information supplied by Nuffic, our national diploma evaluation agency. You can look up your diploma in their database of foreign education systems.
