
Overview
The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Digital Chinese Culture and Communication and Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Chinese Language) BA/BEd course from The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) graduates will obtain a high level of English proficiency, strong digital literacy skills, and an ability to help pupils learn English effectively.
Students will learn the English language system, the use of digital tools for language applications, and the principles and theories of teaching and learning with special reference to the teaching and learning of English as a second language. Students in the programme will conduct teaching practices in primary and secondary schools, and join an immersion programme in an English-speaking country.

The programme is designed to provide students with the disciplinary and professional competency to teach in local primary and secondary schools. Majoring in English with in-depth knowledge of digital literacy, graduates of the programme will have excellent career prospects.
They will be able to apply to become fully qualified and registered teachers in Hong Kong, help primary or secondary students learn English as a second language, and embark on a wide variety of language and digital careers, such as education, media, journalism, publishing, tourism, communication, digital content production, social media management, government, charity and international development.
