Overview

The Tourism programme at Kajaani University of Applied Sciences blends theory with practice to provide our graduates with the necessary skills to manage quality tourist experiences and to develop and manage tourism businesses with entrepreneurial attitude.

Tourism services consist of many different components, such as accommodation, catering, program and transport services, as well as event, conference and congress services. You will study to obtain comprehensive customer-oriented product development and marketing competence as well as the knowledge and skills to successfully manage and develop tourism businesses.

In the Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism you will specialize in Hospitality Management and Wellbeing from the Arctic Nature. 

We encourage you to develop competence in different areas of tourism and therefore to plan a personal study path. Participating in student exchange and completing part of the studies in one of our partner universities makes it possible to broaden the specialization of your studies. It is also possible to choose a double degree with a German partner university. The studies include 5 months of practical training that also gives you an excellent opportunity to strengthen your skills in different areas for a desired career.
