Please note effective 20 March 9 pm AEDT, the Australian Government implemented new travel bans and restrictions whereby only Australian citizens, Permanent Residents, their spouses and dependants could enter the country. For students who would like to study a course that’s offered on campus, we will work with you to enrol you online first and transition you to campus once the travel restrictions change.
The Bachelor of UX and Web Design from Torrens University Australia course specialising in Interaction Design is broad ranging, current and highly regarded in the industry.
Bringing together the needs of humans and the capabilities of technology, it covers the theory and practice of user-experience design, information architecture, graphic and interface design, human–computer interaction, nonlinear storytelling, scripting and development, user behaviour and psychology, research, innovation and strategic thinking.
If this sounds overwhelming, don’t worry – you won’t be on your own! You’ll collaborate with other students in the Problem-based Learning Studio.
That’s where you’ll all apply your own expertise and imagination to the projects you work on throughout the course. In your final year you can apply for an internship in a professional interaction design studio. There you will have the opportunity to work in teams with professionals on a live project work for a real client.
You will also have the chance to complement your core studies by completing elective subjects in Motion Design, 3D Design and Animation or Communication Design. You can pick and mix electives to design your degree to achieve your goals.
You will graduate with state-of-the-art technical skills as well as a thorough understanding of user-centred interactive design. You’ll bring the most effective and appropriate solutions to every brief and be in demand by studios around the country and around the world.
As a graduate you’ll have a wealth of career opportunities available to you:
