The major in Business Administration and Economics at McDaniel College Budapest fosters an understanding and appreciation of economic forms of explanation, training students in economic theory and policy. At the same time, it prepares students to serve as principled, globally-minded business professionals, able to bridge management cultures and operate as key players in international networks. Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

  • Personal essay (at least 300 words)
  • Photocopy or official transcript from your senior high school, a Certificate of Final Examination, a Diploma of Graduation, or other documents verifying that you have completed your secondary education
  • Two Letters of Recommendation in English from the principal or instructors of the secondary school from which you graduated;
  • One passport-size photo;
  • A medical certificate in English verifying that you do not suffer from any chronic diseases, and are physically and mentally capable of undertaking studies at an institution of higher education;
  • Curriculum Vitae in English (attach as a separate page);
  • Photocopy of the page in your passport containing your personal data.
