In the Business Management and Geography (Hons) programme at the Oxford Brookes University, you’ll consider issues that affect our everyday life and explore ways to solve them.
You can spend your third year on a work placement. This gives you excellent employment experience and enhances your CV. Many students have been offered graduate positions by their placement employer.
Graduates of this course will have a broad and interdisciplinary education, equipping them for a wide range of careers, combining knowledge of the practices of business and management, with geographical understanding of contemporary world issues such as environmental change, globalisation, urbanisation, and sustainability.

A degree in Business Management and Geography from Oxford Brookes will equip you with a very wide range of skills with which to enter further study or future employment.
This course will enable you to pursue a career in environmental management, conservation, leisure and tourism, consultancy, geography teaching, or secure a position in a range of settings, such as a multinational business, a major charity, education, health care or government, nationally or internationally. Many of our students go on to graduate training schemes in international companies such as Aldi, AC Nielsen, IBM, Virgin Mobile, Intel, Yell Ltd, O2 and Dell. In addition, our graduates find that their broad skills base makes them attractive candidates for posts in various professions such as advertising, banking, the Civil Service, the arts and media, and services management. Our Careers Centre will support you in finding the right job for you.

General entry requirements
- Acceptable passes in five subjects (exceptionally four subjects) at GCSE or GCE including:
- one 12-unit vocational A-level, or
- two A-levels or two 6-unit vocational A-levels, or
- one A-level or 6-unit vocational A-level plus two AS-levels, or
- two 3-unit vocational A-levels *(* where these are included they need to be in subjects other than those held at A-level).
- A National Certificate or Diploma at a good standard.
- The International Baccalaureate Diploma (minimum of 24 points) or the European Baccalaureate Diploma (minimum of 60%).
- Five subjects in SCE with two at Higher level or one at Advanced Higher level.
- Three subjects in Scottish Highers or two at Advanced Higher level.
- Any other qualifications considered by the Academic Board to be of equivalent standard.
