Overview
The Design Management International program offered at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts is the act of making deliberate improvements and solving problems.
Program Learning Outcomes
Design management, on the other hand, refers to the activities within organizations that support the design process. This can involve leading a design team (such as at a design agency or department), applying design methods to other areas internally, or developing a culture internally that focuses on solving problems.
Programme Structure
Fields of activity:
- Design managers mainly work as project managers, either within the design teams of organizations or in agencies supplying design services. In both cases, design activities require briefing, planning, and delivering projects in accordance with specifications.
- But design managers also work in corporate communications, brand management, product development, marketing, and corporate strategy – wherever diverse teams work together, design management becomes the key to ensuring effective and optimal results.
