Overview

The courses in the updated curriculum consist of three groups: Pedagogical Content Knowledge, Content Knowledge, and General Culture courses. In the programme, Courses related to pedagogical content knowledge took place at a rate of 35%, courses related to General Culture at a rate of 19% and courses related to content knowledge at a rate of 46%. Students studying in the programme complete a total of 142 credits of course load in 4 years. Students who complete the programme gain knowledge, skills and competencies in the fields of general culture based on a liberal education approach, as well as classroom teacher education pedagogy and content knowledge.

Careers

Graduates of Mathematics Education programme from TED University can continue their master's and doctoral studies in the same field and gain master's degree, academic staff, head teacher, administrative staff, research assistant and doctoral degrees. Elementary mathematics teachers will be able to participate in educational activities of different sectors with the advantage of knowing foreign languages. For example; It is also possible to take part in educational software sector and education broadcasting which is becoming more and more widespread in the country and in the world.

TED University has a culture and  infrastructure that encourages students to work in schools in international schools and in EU countries. The advantages of the language of  instruction are English, the participation of faculty members from abroad, the opportunity to establish sociocultural links with foreign students and  the programmes prepared in line with international standards.
