Overview

At the Global Development with Politics with a Year Abroad BA course from the University of East Anglia you'll develop a critical understanding of how and why global challenges—such as climate change, political instability, inequality, pandemics, war, and humanitarian crises—impact different regions and social groups in varied ways. Most importantly, you'll explore where to find transformative solutions.

You’ll have the flexibility to combine our specialist politics modules with options from geography, economics, anthropology, media, and environmental studies, alongside core global development modules. You’ll also be able to hone your knowledge of a critical world regions such as Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, or South Asia.

You’ll have the exciting opportunity to spend your third year studying abroad at one of our partner institutions worldwide. Previous students have studied in destinations such as Mexico, Japan, Australia, Norway, and Ghana, gaining invaluable international experience.
