Overview

The Engineering (Honours) program at Western Sydney University allows you to apply your theoretical learnings to fascinating, real-world challenges, like Western's Formula-SAE project, Unlimited Robotics Club, and ongoing Solar Car project. As part of this course, you will also complete 12 weeks of industrial experience. In addition, the Engineering Summer Placement Program offers high-achieving students opportunities for paid placements.

Solar car project

Our students gain the opportunity to be part of the Solar Car project team. Our 2018 team made history with UNLIMITED 2.0, winning the American Solar Challenge (ASC) as the first international team ever to win the 2,800+ kilometre race. Through studying this course, you could be a part of the next team, and help design and build a sustainable electrical vehicle to compete in future races such as the next World Solar Car Challenge.
