You will gain a solid grounding in the German language whatever your level, taught by native speakers from Germany and Austria. You will gain a broad understanding of culture in the German-speaking world, together with a deeper understanding of Germany’s complex history.

As an integral part of the Anthropology and German (5 years) programme of the University of Aberdeen, you will spend the third year of your study taking your language skills to a high level as a Teaching Assistant or visiting student in a German-speaking country.

The combination of skills you’ll graduate with, including critical thinking, communication and analysis in addition to your language and cultural skills, will have special appeal to employers in European and international business.
