From your first year in the Fashion (Hons) programme from London College of Contemporary Arts, you’ll explore the cultural, economic, environmental and sustainable factors that underpin the world of fashion while learning practical techniques that you can utilise in many roles. 

These include drape, fabric manipulation, constructed textile, pattern cutting, garment manufacture and trailers. You’ll learn how to take the concepts you design through drawing and illustration work and create marketable products. 

Additionally, you’ll also study media, photography and styling, portfolio presentation and computer-aided design.

By the time you graduate, you’ll have developed your industry expertise through a work placement as well as a range of transferable skills that will make you a top candidate for a range of roles in the fashion industry.

General Requirements

  • Minimum age: 18
  • Level 3 qualifications which attract a minimum of 80 UCAS tariffs through one or more of the following: BTEC National Diploma, A-levels, Foundation Diploma in Art & Design, other level 3 accredited qualifications, and non-UK level 3 equivalent qualifications confirmed through NARIC. Every application is considered on an individual basis
  • English proficiency: IELTS 6.0 (with minimum 5.5 for each component) or equivalent (CEFR Level B2)
  • All applicants will be required to attend an interview with a portfolio of work that demonstrates creative ability or talent
