Overview

The Tourism Management programme offered by NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences  raises your awareness of the opportunities to responsibly and sustainably continue to explore the world. With sustainable tourism, you take into full account the current and future economic, social and environmental impact of tourism. You address the needs of visitors, the industry, the environment and host communities. For us, this means being all-inclusive. It’s a new interpretation. A concept that responds to changing trends in tourism.

Gain international experience 

During the Tourism Management degree, you get to put your passion for travel into practice with field trips, minor subjects and internships abroad. Our participation in RUN-EU means you can join Short Advanced Programmes and carry out projects with partner institutions in Europe. You can also go to one of the NHL Stenden’s Grand Tour locations in South Africa, Bali or Thailand in your third year. Or you can go on an exchange to a partner institution and delve into a totally new way of studying. With over 100 different minors on offer through NHL Stenden and held at locations all over the world, you're sure to find the perfect specialisation, whether it’s focusing on Heritage Experience Management, Outdoor Leadership and Adventure Tourism or Destinations in Transition (to name just a few). It all helps prepare you to work anywhere in the world when you’ve graduated – and gets you thinking about how you can travel sustainably and responsibly.
