The Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors has accredited this Construction Management program as meeting the educational requirements for a Professional Quantity Surveyor for graduates from British Columbia Institute of Technology Architectural and Building Technology diploma program (Economics/Construction Operations option) only. These individuals must also graduate from BCIT's Construction Management Bachelor of Technology program (this program) and complete these three management elective courses:
  • CMGT 8040 - Building - Civil Services
  • CMGT 8050 - Budgeting/Conceptual Estimating
  • CMGT 8060 - Risk Management in Design and Construction of Buildings

General Requirements

  • English: two years of education in English in an English-speaking country with one of the following: English 12 (73%) or, 3.0 credits of post-secondary English, humanities or social sciences (73%) from a recognized institution
  • Work experience: a minimum of six months relevant work experience prior to admission
  • Convert all transcripts and supporting documents to PDF files
  • Post-secondary education in architecture or a related engineering discipline: successful completion of one of the following from a recognized institution: Diploma or, Bachelor’s degree (a master’s degree alone is not sufficient for admission)
