Centennial College's Performing Arts Fundamentals program, offered by the School of Communications, Media and Design, provides students with the foundation they need to explore a wide range of career opportunities in the performing arts. 

About

Students will develop core skills in music, theatre and dance, but can customize their program through advanced elective courses and express their talents in collaborative, multi-disciplinary performance projects. Students will also attend shows and network with leading industry professionals throughout the cultural hub of Toronto and will leave the program with a personalized, professional video portfolio to help launch their career or explore additional performing arts education options.

                                      C1 Advanced is a Cambridge English Qualification. It reports on the Cambridge English Scale between 142 and 210. You will receive a separate score for each of the four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) and for Use of English. These five scores are averaged to give you an overall result for the exam. Universities and colleges may ask you to achieve a specific score, either overall or for a particular skill.

                                      Note: degree programmes and applications may require a more specific minimum score for admission.

                                      PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) is a language test that enables students to demonstrate their writing, listening, speaking, and reading skills when applying to study in English. Delivered and marked by computer, it reports on a scale between 10 and 90.

                                    • Grade 12 English C or U or equivalent (minimum grade required) or take the Centennial College English Skills Assessment for admission.
                                    Eligibility

                                    • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent or mature student status (19 years or older).
                                    Additional Requirements

                                    • Candidates are asked to complete an ungraded, online questionnaire describing their experience and interests in the performing arts.

                                     This program requires you to have and use a mobile computing device that meets or exceeds the recommended hardware and software requirements.
