Overview

You will spend the majority of your time at the Prince Phillip Dental Hospital, the only dental teaching hospital in Hong Kong. Further enrich your practical learning experiences with added classes in the LKS Faculty of Medicine’s general medicine and surgical wards and the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at the Queen Mary Hospital. You will also receive hands-on training in dental clinics and at other oral health educational settings across Hong Kong.

Professional Recognition

The Dental Surgery programme from The University of Hong Kong is recognised by the Dental Council of Hong Kong (DCHK) and has been accredited by section 8(1)b of the Dentists Registration Ordinance in Hong Kong.

The Degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) of The University of Hong Kong is recognized as a registrable primary qualification by the Dental Council of Hong Kong (DCHK). The BDS degree has been accredited by the DCHK under section 8(1)(b) of the Dentists Registration Ordinance in Hong Kong SAR.
