Overview
The Mechanical Engineering program of the An-Najah National University is established to take an advanced-important position in the development of the local society, by providing the local and regional work-market with well educated and trained Mechanical Engineers according to international standards in education and training.
Industry
The program has a cooperation agreement with Padico Holding Company. This agreement allows students to visit different sites of the company and use different facilities. In addition some joined graduation projects are usually held out in Palestinian Industrial Investment Company which is one branch of Padico Company. Moreover, different graduation projects are cooperation with local industrial companies.
Teaching and Learning
The teaching and learning methods are:
- lectures inside the classroom: these lectures include presented the lectures on the class board or using power point software or using both of them together. Moreover, quizzes, homework and course project are included too.
- E-learning course: Different courses were designed using Moodle software. These courses are workshop1, Hydraulic machine, manufacturing and operation procces, refrigeration and energy conversion.
Career Opportunities
The graduate students of the mechanical engineering program can work in building mechanical systems, all factories as mechanical engineering designer or engineering maintenance, or engineering production lines. Also in vehicles companies, government institutions, elevator companies and hydraulic machines.

General requirements
For students who would like to undertake a course (one subject) or an Academic semester (several courses during one academic semester) the procedure is as following:
- Browse the academic programs which are offered, read carefully the courses which are intended,
- Please note that An-Najah University is not responsible for credit transferee to your national academic system. Thus you should transfer these in advance at your home institution.
- Once your selection is clear, you can contact the international relations office in order to process your application inside the university.
- Once you receive the admission confirmation letter you can start obtaining the visa and travel documents, and come to An-Najah.
- After finishing your study, you will be provided by certification documents in English language only, assigned with course/courses description that are needed to support your admission and credit transfer at your home institution.
