Overview

The Architectural Engineering program from Birzeit University works on preparing architectural engineers with the ability to initiate, compete, think-freely, take responsibility and interact with the community issues.

Upon successful competition of the program, students will be able to:

• Apply the presentation tools, methods and techniques in the fields of architectural work.

• Control objects and spaces and have visual perception over their components.

• Develop architectural designs and solve the various issues that arise from it to meet the needs and desires of the local and global community, and understand its relationship to other engineering disciplines, including project management, environmental control and in construction techniques and methods.

• Understand the movement of architecture in different historical eras, use that in criticising and analysing the modern phenomena, and link them to the society needs.

• Deal with the cultural heritage in the field of architecture and urbanism, and solve the related issues regarding its consolidation and rehabilitation to keep up with time.

• Establish the necessary principles of architectural design and formulate solutions for issues affecting it.

• Learn and interact with the contemporary issues.

• Work with the community, and have the profession values and morals.
