As ships need professional seafarers, so the shore-based element of the maritime industry needs graduates with a good understanding of the shipping industry – and the relevant business skills.

A dedicated one-year ‘top-up’ course for qualified seafarers, this Maritime Management (Top-Up) (Hons) course at Solent University offers the key industry practice, management, and business skills you need to develop a shore-side career.

Building on your existing qualifications and industry knowledge, you will explore the legal and management landscape in the maritime industry, which will build on and complement existing knowledge of the shipping industry.
