Overview
The Political Science and International Relations programme of the Istanbul Aydin University aims to contribute to multilateral processes through diplomacy, negotiation, mediation, and international law; design policies for sustainable peace and security using strategic foresight, scenario planning, and crisis management.
As the program progresses, students engage with specialized courses such as international political economy, foreign policy analysis, international law, global governance, security studies, regional studies, migration policy, European Union studies, Middle Eastern politics, and diplomatic history. Emphasis is placed on critical analysis, interpretation of international events, and understanding geopolitical developments. Students develop practical skills in policy analysis, political risk assessment, research methods, data interpretation, and academic writing.
Career Opportunities
The graduates can be employed in the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Strategic Research Centers, national and international public or private institutions. Career opportunities involving national and international political and administrative processes are also available.
