Overview

The five-year Medicine course at The University of Exeter draws on the strength of our partnership with the NHS in Devon and Cornwall to provide a unique learning experience in healthcare. It develops skills for lifelong learning and the professional attitudes that you will need throughout your medical career. The importance of a multi-professional perspective is a key component.

Clinical placements

You will gain placement experience throughout your studies. In the later years of the programme you will be immersed in the clinical environment with extensive opportunities for learning from patients as you move through the pathways of the patient care programme.

The community placements provide experience of the multi-professional nature of medicine and the importance of the healthcare team.
