Overview

The Elementary Education - Early Childhood Education program from TED University enables students to acquire competence in early childhood education pedagogy, content, and liberal arts areas and the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to nurture young children. In order to train high quality early childhood teachers, students in this program are given opportunities where they can actively participate in the teaching and learning processes.

TED University early childhood education program graduates leave their program as experienced candidates and can easily find employment at the aforementioned institutions. According to the 2009 Internal Audit Annual Report of the Ministry of National Education in Turkey, early childhood education teachers are the professionals most needed by public schools in Turkey.

Moreover, graduates of the early childhood education program at TED University may choose to pursue graduate studies at our college. Early childhood professionals with a MS degree may become research assistants at universities, program specialists at TÜBİTAK, lead teachers and administrators at schools. They can also become faculty members at universities, chief program specialists at TÜBİTAK and administrators at the Ministry of National Education and public and private schools if they hold a PhD degree in early childhood education.
