Overview
In the Psychology curriculum from TED University, students gain an advance understanding of subfields and also a strong scientific and research basis and related skills that prepare them both for practicing their knowledge and skills in a variety of professional contexts and for their graduate work in psychology and other related disciplines.
Career Opportunities
Today, psychology is among the most rapidly developing professions. There are many career opportunities for psychology graduates including, but not limited to, academic positions (research assistant), health sector (hospitals, counseling centers etc.), child and family services (preschool institutions, child protection centers, family health centers), counseling services (school counseling etc.), industrial sector (public relations, human resources), and media. In Turkey, laws allow psychology graduates to work in governmental institutions as psychologist.
Although there are some jobs associated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, many other career positions require training beyond the baccalaureate level. Graduates who want a career in areas of specialization (e.g. clinical psychology, developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, neuropsychology, social psychology etc.) have to complete graduate level training on that particular area.
